Affordable Housing for Lakeland

There is action on the Affordable Housing front here in Lakeland!!!

LALTODAY recently announced in an article the following:

Two new affordable housing developments are in the works, Swan Lake and Swan Landing.  Swan Lake is in progress, and Swan Landing is a proposal by the same developer, Tampa-based Blue Sky Communities.

The City of Lakeland has waived a portion of the fees for one, and committed $$$$ to the other.

In addition, the City Commissioners committed to a plan (in a 2019 pledge), which over the next 5 years, would add 500 new affordable housing units.

For more detailed information on these projects, read the article in LALTODAY HERE (will open in a new tab).
